Feel free to contact me to see
if it’s an area I work in.
If it isn’t, I will try to put you in touch
with a suitable linguist from my network.
Here I am in Berlin. I lived here in 2015 and loved every second of this vibrant city.
Why work with me?
You’ll get quality: I appreciate that you have carefully crafted your video or text and your audience deserves beautifully adapted translations.
You’ll save time: I thoroughly proofread my work twice, checking it respects your specifications and style guide and applying standard QA checks like spellcheck. This means less back and forth for you.
I’ll make your life easier: I’ll ask questions before delivery, not after, and let you know if something’s up with your original file to avoid embarrassing errors.
Your say is final: You have the chance to make edits to my translation after delivery. I’m not happy until you are.
We’ll build a partnership: Most of my clients have been working with me since day one. I know their shows, brands, services and products like the back of my hand. But if you just have one ad-hoc project, that’s fine too.
You know you’re working with an expert: I’m always learning and keeping on top of industry developments, like AI at conferences and through training. I know when it’s appropriate to apply AI technology and when not. I use professional software and have consulted numerous translation and media agencies to help them improve their audiovisual tools, guidelines and processes.
I've been working in the translation industry since 2017.
In that time, I've worked on both sides of the translation project workflow, as an audiovisual translation project manager
and now translator.
Since 2021, I've also been tutoring German to English subtitling
on the MA in Audiovisual Translation and Localisation course
at University of Leeds.
I'm a committee member of SUBTLE, The Subtitlers’ Association,
a member of ATAA, Association des Traducteurs/Adaptateurs de l'Audiovisuel, an Affiliate member of the Institution of Translation and Interpreting, and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
